Dade City

Green Swamp West

This 37,000-acre property safeguards the Green Swamp, which gives rise to the Withlacoochee River, while providing excellent access to upland pasture, sandhills, cypress domes, riverfront and "wildcat swamp.'' A bike makes the size of this site more manageable.

Withlacoochee River Park

Located on 610 acres of natural wilderness bordering the Green Swamp. Local Canoe Access, Primative camping, Tent & RV Camping with 20,30 and 50 amp hook ups. 13 Miles of hiking trails, canoe launch, 40-foot Observation Tower, multiple Picnic Areas & Shelters, Fishing Pier, Playgrounds, Boardwalk.

Aripeka Sandhills Preserve

The Weeki wachee Preserve is part of a regional system of conservation lands that extends up to Crystal River Buffer Preserve, preserving the southernmost coastal hardwood hammock in western Florida. As part of this large preserve, Aripeka Sandhills preserves important habitat communities such as dense hardwood swamps and pine-covered sandhills.

Land O' Lakes

Conner Preserve

Nearly 3,000 acres in central Pasco County, the Conner Preserve has 16 miles of hiking-only trails, 12.5 miles of unpaved cycling trails, plus 5.2 miles of marked equestrian trails.

Serenova Tract

Just east of New Port Richey, the 6,500-acre Serenova Tract is part of the Starkey Wilderness Preserve and is accessible off S.R. 52 just west of the Suncoast Parkway. 18 miles of multi-use trails, plus primitive campsites.

Anclote Key Preserve State Park

Anclote Key Preserve State Park is accessible only by private boat or ferry service. The 403-acre park is home to at least 43 species of birds. A picturesque 1887 lighthouse stands as a sentinel on the southern end of the island. Visitors can swim and sunbathe at the beach, fire up a grill and enjoy a picnic, or pitch a tent and enjoy a night of primitive camping under the stars. There are no provisions offered on the island, so be prepared to bring your own water and supplies.
